OM MIG

Hej, jag heter Shari!

Under de senaste åren, och efter att ha skrivit tjugofem romaner, har jag hittat en djup passion för historia, särskilt andra världskriget. Efter att ha blåst liv i Last Words-serien har jag bestämt mig att ”det förflutna” är den plats jag behöver vara.

 

Om du gillade serien Last Words, se till att du tittar på Last One Home, släppt den 22 mars 2021. Denna bok fokuserar på en judisk amerikansk sjuksköterska som överlever oddsen för Pearl Harbor och andra världskriget. Under en tid då kvinnor inte sågs som lika, har jag haft en stark önskan att lyfta fram de kvinnor som gjorde skillnad under den tiden.

Jag har tecknat ett bokavtal med Bookouture of Little, Brown / Hachette UK för att skriva två skönlitteraturer från andra världskriget baserat på sanna förekomster av Förintelsen. Håll utkik efter mer information om den första boken: Hemligheten på vinden, släppt i höst.

The Family Behind the Walls: Absolutely heartbreaking and gripping World War Two fiction- My great-grandfather was murdered in a gas chamber upon arrival at Auschwitz. He died from Zyklon B poisoning. His body was thrown into a pile with countless others and taken to the crematorium, where all that remained of him was reduced to ash. Why? Because he was Jewish. A question has haunted me as I grew up and tried to piece together my family’s history: What was it all for? This question became the driving force behind my writing of The Family Behind the Walls. I wondered if, by the end of the story, I might find an answer. And I did.
