Salut, je suis Shari !

Au cours des dernières années, et après avoir écrit vingt-cinq romans d'amour, j'ai découvert une profonde passion pour l'histoire, en particulier la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Après avoir donné vie à la série Last Words, j'ai décidé que «le passé» est l'endroit où je dois être.

 

Si vous avez apprécié la série Last Words, assurez-vous de jeter un œil à Last One Home, sorti le 22 mars 2021. Ce livre se concentre sur une infirmière américaine juive qui a survécu aux chances de Pearl Harbor et de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. À une époque où les femmes n'étaient pas considérées comme des égales, j'ai eu un fort désir de mettre en évidence les femmes qui ont fait une différence pendant cette période.

J'ai signé un contrat avec Bookouture of Little, Brown/Hachette UK pour écrire deux romans de fiction sur la Seconde Guerre mondiale basés sur des événements réels de l'Holocauste. The Family Behind the Walls: Absolutely heartbreaking and gripping World War Two fiction- My great-grandfather was murdered in a gas chamber upon arrival at Auschwitz. He died from Zyklon B poisoning. His body was thrown into a pile with countless others and taken to the crematorium, where all that remained of him was reduced to ash. Why? Because he was Jewish. A question has haunted me as I grew up and tried to piece together my family’s history: What was it all for? This question became the driving force behind my writing of The Family Behind the Walls. I wondered if, by the end of the story, I might find an answer. And I did.
